Home Science

The Department of Home Science is functioning as the faculty for all-round personality development of students for more than three decades and has flourished the community by enriching the students with scientific knowledge about Food and Nutrition, Family Resource Management, Textile and Clothing, Life Span Development and Extension Education.

The Department of Home Science offers two undergraduate (UG) courses and two postgraduate (PG) courses at present. The courses offered by the Dept. of Home Science are:- B.Sc. Home Science, B.A. Home Science, M.Sc. Home Science (Food and Nutrition) and M.A. Home Science. All these courses are duly affiliated to Hemchand Yadav University, Durg, CG.Department ha s organized National Workshop sponsored by UGC.

The Department of Home Science is registered as the ‘Research Center’ in Hemchand Yadav University, Durg, CG. Dr. Reshma Lakesh and Dr. Babita Dubey are registered as ‘Research Guide’ in the Dept. of Home Science. At present, eight research scholars are registered for their PhD work in our Research Center and thirteen research scholars have completed their PhD Doctorate from our Research Center.
