The department of Botany has two posts and its extension stream, ‘Microbiology’ under self-finance scheme, functioning with an assistance from ‘Janbhagidari’.

The conduction of Class tests, Unit tests and Model exams from time to time help to assess the progress of the students. The students are also encouraged to participate in Seminars and Workshops, the prominent one being the National Workshop on Medicinal Plants at M.J. College ,Bhilai (2011). The students of Microbiology, usually participate in ‘Training sessions’ often guided by the Subject experts such as in Immunological and Biochemical estimation.
Dept.has organised National Seminar sponsored by UGC.
